Season 1 Episode 18 Under Control

Stefan struggles to maintain control of his new circumstances, and Elena and Jeremy's uncle, John Gilbert, unexpectedly shows up in Mystic Falls. Alaric and Elena have an awkward conversation about Isobel. Stefan exhibits some unusual behavior at the Founder's Day event, and things turn ugly when Damon tries to find out why John Gilbert has returned. Matt and Tyler find themselves in conflict after an incident at the party, and the relationship between Matt and his mom reaches a new low point. Meanwhile, Elena is unable to comfort Jeremy, causing him to take action.

Stefan tries to distract himself from blood. 

Uncle John shows up. 

Jeremy and Tyler talk about Vicki. 

The founders council have a meeting. 

Alaric tells Elena about Jeremy's vampire paper. 

Elena and Stefan kiss. 

Stefan has trouble with his hunger. 

Elena is worried and talks to Damon about Stefan. 

Elena tells Jeremy about being adopted and talks about his paper. 

Stefan gets drunck at the founders day party to deal with his hunger. 

John introduces himself to Damon. Damon thinks John knows to much and kills him. 

Elena tells Jeremy to move on from Vicki. 

Tyler kisses Matt's mom because of being drunk. 

Matt catches them and gets mad. 

Alaric steps in. 

Stefan finds Matt's mom injured. 

He runs outside, the hunger overcomes him and he licks his fingers.

Damon spots John across the room. 

Damon tells Alaric that John has a similar ring. 

Jeremy reads Elena's journal. 

Matt's mom apologizes. 

Elena tells Stefan she isn't scared of him and that she will help him. 

Stefan finishes Damon's blood that he left to tempt Stefan.
